Lakes restructures its team and welcomes Richard Dey as Productivity Manager Lakes Restructures its team and welcomes Richard Dey as Productivity Manager 2020 was planned to be the year that Lakes Catering, placed investment back into the team. Having experienced growth over the last few years we really wanted to develop engagement, a higher level of training and support and invest back into the team who had delivered outstanding work over the past few years. We announced a restructure in January to accommodate this and created a role specifically to develop people, create an environment for personal development and an effective engaged team. It took some time to find the right person, but I am pleased to announce that Richard Dey was successful in securing the role of Productivity Manager at Lakes Catering. Whilst there’s no denying Covid19 caused some disruption to his start date, I am pleased to say he has now been welcomed by the team. Richard brings 30 years of experience in the industry, his engineering knowledge extends to great team leadership, communication, and personal development. Richard will be managing the engineers supporting them daily and managing our productivity. He will be introducing bespoke training and development plans, that will support our team to grow in confidence, knowledge, and expertise. Keeping us ahead of changes and innovations within the industry, in a safe and engaged environment. Richards role will be key in delivering ongoing Covid19 secure ways of working ensuring both our team and customers stay safe. We’ll hold onto practices around remote working and reduced contact with each other, benefiting from reduced travel and a more independent way of working. Richards role will also include reaching out to our customer base, to develop our understanding of what they need from us and how we can support them to survive, adapt and innovate in the new normal. As much as I expect the next few years to be a challenge, I firmly believe that if you have the right team around, with a shared goal then your set up to win. Welcome to the team Richard!
