A new service from Lakes Catering Maintenance for our customers the option to rent equipment from us.

We’re initially offering a range of Comenda warehousing equipment with a view to adding more options at a later date.  For more information or to enquire contact the team.

Terms and conditions

– The machine (s) listed as above remains the property of Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd at all times. Ownership of this machine will not pass to the customer (hirer) under this agreement.

– The machine must not be removed from the premises in which it has been installed, under any circumstances, unless consent is obtained in writing first. A re-installation fee may apply.

– If the machine is removed from the premises, without obtaining written permission, this will be deemed as theft and the person named above will be held accountable, the value of a replacement machine will be payable by the person named above within 7 days.

– The machine must not be moved from the position in which it has been installed, under any circumstances, unless consent is obtained in writing first. A re-installation fee may apply.

– It is the responsibility of the customer (hirer) to have a valid insurance policy that will cover this machine against cost of replacement and any damage or injury caused by it.

– Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd accepts fair wear and tear and general depreciation only, of this machine.

– Machine must be monitored when in use and isolated at main wall power switch and water supply when not in use.

– Any fault or damage must be reported immediately, upon discovering a fault the machine must be isolated at main wall switch and water switched off immediately.

– Should a machine blow a fuse or trip a circuit breaker do not reset/replace. Immediately isolate machine at main wall switch and contact us.

– Upon discovering a chemical or water leak the machine must be isolated at both the main wall power switch and water supply immediately and contact us.

– Maintenance parts and labour for the machine is the responsibility of Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd. It is the customer’s responsibility to make us aware of an issue.

– Any break down or damage caused by neglect, misuse or criminal activity will be fully chargeable to the customer (hirer).

– Any damage caused by the customers (hirers) electric or water supply (e.g. scaling) is chargeable.

– The customer (hirer) is responsible for keeping the machine in a clean, safe working condition and requesting servicing from us at least every year.

– Any further equipment supplied by us as a loan or replacement machine is covered by this agreement.

– The customer is responsible for having the power supply to machine checked before machine is used for first time and power supply maintained, also any PAT testing or electrical safety test that is required and as required.

– The machine must be made accessible to Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd. or any persons working on behalf of Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd, at any reasonable time for inspection/service etc.

– Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd. and all persons associated with Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd. accepts no responsibility for damage or costs and expenses incurred or loss of business caused by this machine.

– Failure to pay by direct debit will result in admin charges being applied.

TERMINATION OF RENTAL AGREEMENT

– Minimum agreement is 12 (twelve) months, after which, 1 (one) month’s notice to terminate this agreement is required in writing to Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd, Unit 3 Moss End Business Village, Crooklands, Milnthorpe LA7 7NU.

– No pre-dated termination of the agreement will be accepted

– Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd reserves the right to terminate your contract at any time.

– Lakes Catering Maintenance Ltd reserves the right to remove the machine if the machine is damaged or the rent becomes overdue by 7 days and terminate the agreement, at this point, 60% of the remaining hire charges for the balance of the agreement minimum term will become payable in full within seven days of a final invoice being submitted, and the equipment will not be returned to site. This reflects a fair sum for the losses incurred by the company.

– The customer is responsible for all costs incurred for the removal and recovery of the machine and monies owed, should these terms be broken.

– The customer agrees to allow the company and its representative’s access to the hirer’s premises to remove the equipment upon termination of this agreement.
